PVO Parent Participation Program

PVO’s unique approach to developing parent leadership supports parents to effectively engage with policy makers and partner with like-minded organizations in creating systemic changes to legislative policies at the local, county and state levels. Parent Leaders choose to join Parent Voices Oakland to sustain the organization for a low monthly fee of $5. Some parents arrange work-in-lieu of payment to become sustainers. Benefits of membership include access to special family events, advising our decision bodies, receiving regular policy updates, access to family friendly events, and numerous other benefits. Activities include: Parent Powered Grassroots Campaigns, Leadership Academy, Stand for Children, and CalWorks Advisory Committee
